This interview was in NCA on October 21st, 1999. It was the first interview in NCA EVER. This is going back to the old school, so enjoy.

Josh Nacho: The new record is due out the first week of November. How would you compare it, musically and for content, to your previous albums?

Jughead's Revenge: It seems that all of our records are different from each other. Its not intended, its just what develops while we write at that time. the new one is more grown-up in a way.

JN: Will there be a tour to support this album, and do you think it will be bigger and better than the last?

JR: At this time we do not plan on touring for a year.

JN: Do you think this new record will help to elevate your careers in any way, such as gain you radio airplay or a video on Mtv?

JR: I think if we were trying to elevate our careers in a commercial way, we would not write the kinds of songs we do. That and we're not cute enough.

JN: How do you feel about the idea of a Nitro Records tour, with bands such as yourselves, Guttermouth, the Vandals, AFI and One Hit Wonder?

JR: It would be great, I remember the fat wreck chords tour . lots of fun. but things are different now and something like that is not that easy to put together.

JN: What are your thoughts on Nitro Records? Would you ever consider signing to a bigger label if the offer came up?

JR: the only place to go from here is to a major . we had offers from majors long ago and we didn't take them and still wouldnt. we don't think a band like this belongs in a place like that. we still prefer to play small venues for little money. thats why ty and craig left. we believe in a scene and if we are not having a good time, thats when we stop doing this.

JN: What do you guys do in your spare time, when you're not touring or writing music as a band?

JR: we all have something going on, two of us run our own company, the other two go to school.

JN: Who are some of your biggest influences, musically and outside of music?

JR: I get influenced by just about anything I can relate to. the band is influenced mostly by old-school bands like black flag, germs, poison idea ect.

JN: Who are some your favorite bands out in the scene today?

JR: The last CD by refused is great. Not only powerful, but it sounds like they really care about the songs by all the work they put into them.

JN: If you could pick one band to tour with, who would it be and why?

JR: black flag. it would be the one we would all agree on

JN: Of all the bands you toured with, who was your favorite and why?

JR: Descendants. it was right when they got back together. I watched them every nite with my jaw open. they would play an hour set like they had practiced it for months, knowing that I just saw then write it out backstage 15 minutes before they went on. One of the best punk bands ever.

JN: What do you think of the success of such "punk" bands as Blink 182?

JR: I dunno, it seems like they are more honest about what they do than some band like rage against the machine who preaches the evils of corporate america, yet staying with the biggest corporation on the planet, Sony. Blink are just 3 horny guys out to rock and score some groupies. Most people would do the same.

JN: Do you have any final thoughts, any last words?

JR: see ya as soon as possible
