How do I make a message two or three months in the making short and simple? I’m not sure that there is a way, but I’m going to attempt to do so to the shortest of my abilities, while also keeping you informed of everything that you may possibly need to know.

It all started several months ago when I made the long move from CT (the east coast) to Houston, Texas (the no-coast). I had big plans for NCA. I was going to completely redo the site, as well as get a domain name, and just start doing NCA through a publisher as well, trying to cut costs on this d.i.y. lifestyle.

Then, reality hit me.

I had to find a job, which was a job in itself, then pay my bills, which was basically cost of living. Forget NCA, I needed money to eat!!

Now, several months later, things are starting to pick up. There are a number of shows in November I’m going to, to collect interviews, as well as much other content I have collected throughout the past couple of months and even up until this very moment.

So to answer the questions most people must be having about NCA: No, we are not dead. Yes, we will return. Most likely by the middle of November. We will be published by a small publisher of some kind. We will have a sweet distro deal. We will offer free advertising in our first issue (more on that to come). By that time as well I should hopefully have my own computer. And, um, we’ll have a new web site with a domain. Everything will change, for the better in my opinion, it’s just taking a little bit more time than I thought it would.

Also, for the new address, simply email and ask me. I’m not getting a p.o. box yet and don’t know when or if I ever will, so sending stuff straight to me is easier, but just ask me for the address, I’m not about to be stalked in Houston, yo!

So hold on tight… Thank you for bearing with us… And await the return, because it’s a lot closer than what it seems.

We Have Arrived

We are in Houston. No longer CT. The Junely Issue is out. There will be no August Issue. September will be huge for the five year anniversary. New web site soon. More later.

Free At Last, Free At Last

It has been a while since I have been able to sit at a computer and actually update the site myself, mainly due to AOL errors and other such things. But here comes an official update, with a slight site overhaul, courtesy of the man in charge.

There are five things you need to know this month, so check them out and then we'll get back to you in a few weeks. No joke. We promise this time.

1: Though there was no mention of it here, we did do an April Issue with Spitalfield, as well as a May Issue with Silverstein. To check out those issues, click the appropriate names here: Spitalfield Issue, Silverstein Issue.

2: The next issue we do, the June Issue if you will, has been delayed due to hectic schedules and poor planning on my behalf (this includes such unexpected things as car failure, sorry). The June Issue, in all its glory, will be completed by June 15th or so, and the July Issue should come out on July 1st without a hitch. We apologize for the delay and ask that you please bear with us as we fix our lives. Also, we feel that this shift (though it will see two issues come out within two weeks of each other) will benefit both issues, making them both stronger instead of having one really strong issue and one really weak issue. Trust us, we know what we're doing... Most of the time.

3: To all of our newsletter subscribers, I apologize again for not sending out any email updates since... 2001 or something, I forget when the last one was, but it feels like forever. Look for something new in your inboxes very soon and hopefully we can also bribe you with contests so you don't hate us forever and ever.

4: Our movies site is constantly being updated. If you haven't been keeping up with it, a lot of reviews of new movies have been going up. Do click the link on the side bar when you get a chance and read all about it.

5: As of August 2004, NCA will be relocating from central CT to Houston, Texas. All of this will be explained in further detail, and come the middle of July a new address will be made available. This is just more of a warning than a preview. Also, expect with the move to come a brand spankin' new web site (the first in years) complete with an easy to remember domain name. Yup. NCA is moving on up to the big time, baby, and this is our first step.

Now, enjoy the select old news I decided to save. - Josh, May 26th, 2004

River City Rebels Get Animated

We recently did an interview with Dan and Rylan of River City Rebels. Well, a portion of it is animated and up on the NCA site right now. The full interview will appear in the January issue of NCA.

To see the animated interview, click here: River City Rebels Get Animated It's seven pages, so be ready.

the Private Life of Josh Nacho

Check out our new blog for up to date info (and really secret stuff you just won't see on the site) here. You can also post comments to the news items. Dig it.

The Rocket Summer Gets Animated

There is an animated interview with Bryce of the Rocket Summer up now. You can view it by clicking here.

The Counter

...Oh yeah. And I don't know what happened to the counter either. It was like this when I got back.

N C A: At the Movies

We're jumping on the bandwagon as it would seem, as we're branching off our own little sub-site for movie reviews. It can now be found as a link on the side bar, and also, you can go there by clicking here.

There are currently reviews up of the Matrix Reloaded, X2: X-Men United, the Hulk and Daredevil. There will be more coming (sort of as a "past review" archive) in the near future.

Professional wrestling fans, be sure to check out A1Wrestling by clicking here. You'll find our very special friend Hobie Brown doing Random Thoughts, Hoopla, pay-per-view previews and picks and much more you might enjoy.

  Lyrics to Note

Don't you come to me with all your color coded quotes. Everybody's laughing but they never ever get my jokes. Fool, you're a tool, a sheep. And it's obvious to everyone but the company you keep. And don't you squint at me because your childhood was the pits. Every single one of us has trodden through our shit. Oh, and I know you're shrewd because I smell it on your clothes. It's in everything you do. Streetlight Manifesto
